I’m an experienced freelance copyeditor who has specialised in med comms since 2001. Over the years, I’ve also been a regular copyeditor for various journals, including the Informa Expert Opinion series, which has given me insight into a broad range of therapeutic areas.

Just before going freelance in 2006, I spent 3 years managing print and production for a med comms agency in Brighton, UK. The writers were often away at meetings, so in their absence I’d handle review and sign-off with faculty and client. Understanding this process has been useful in helping my clients to meet what are often challenging deadlines. And I’ll never complain about having to reshuffle things unexpectedly — it’s the name of the game!

A careful check of language, formatting, consistency and clarity is best done by a fresh pair of eyes (me!). Whatever the materials (e.g. manuscripts, slides, monographs, meeting reports, posters), I promise to improve their quality.
